01 Who we are and who this covers
CallerTune.store is operated by NovaClarius Limited, Nigeria ("NovaClarius", "we", "us"). We are responsible as data controller for the personal information we use to run this website and our CallerTune service.
This policy covers website visitors, people who contact us, customers, artists, rights holders and people whose information is supplied during an order or content submission. It applies whether or not you sign a distribution agreement.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@callertune.store with the subject "Privacy request". You can also call +234 903 333 9960.
02 Information we handle
- Contact and order details: your full name, stage name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, selected package, order reference, payment preference and agreement acceptance details.
- Content and rights information: song titles, audio, artwork, metadata, your relationship to the content, rights owner details, agreement address, rights notes, declarations and supporting documents. These may include identification, signed permissions or video authorisation where required for verification.
- Payments and royalties: transaction references, payment status, amount, payment dates, bank name, account name and account number, settlement records and correspondence about payments.
- Support and operational records: enquiries, emails, submission and review history, internal notes, delivery records and information needed to investigate problems or disputes.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, request times and security or error logs generated when the site and its hosting services process requests.
We receive information from you, from someone authorised to act for you, from our payment provider when confirming transactions, and from operators or distribution partners when administering your content. If you provide another person's information, ensure you have authority to do so and give them this policy. Supply only the documents and details requested; do not send passwords, card PINs or unrelated sensitive information.
03 Why we use information
We use the following lawful grounds, depending on the purpose:
- Steps towards a contract and performance of a contract: answering service enquiries, creating orders, verifying payment, providing upload links, reviewing submissions, preparing and distributing authorised content, administering royalties and providing customer support.
- Legal obligations: maintaining records where required by law and responding to valid regulatory, tax or law-enforcement requirements.
- Legitimate interests: protecting our service and customers, preventing fraud, checking rights, resolving disputes and diagnosing faults. We consider the effect on your privacy and do not rely on this ground where your rights override those interests.
- Consent: where required for a particular optional use, such as promotional communications or processing that requires specific consent. You may withdraw that consent by contacting us; withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing.
Required fields support the order, payment, rights review or payout process. Without the relevant information, we may be unable to complete that step. Optional information is identified on the form. Payment, upload and service-status emails are operational communications; they are not an agreement to receive unrelated advertising.
05 Payments and external services
Payments are completed through Paystack. Our checkout redirects you to its payment service; CallerTune does not ask you to enter a card PIN or full card details into our own forms. We receive information needed to identify and verify your payment. Read Paystack's Privacy & Cookie Policy for its processing practices.
Choosing WhatsApp or another external link takes you to a third-party service whose privacy policy applies. The featured YouTube player loads when you choose to watch it. Google/YouTube then receives technical information about that interaction; see Google's Privacy Policy.
07 Processing outside Nigeria
Hosting, email, payment and distribution services may involve processing outside Nigeria. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we must use a transfer basis permitted by Nigerian data-protection law and appropriate safeguards, such as an adequate level of protection or enforceable contractual safeguards, as applicable. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
08 How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as needed for its purpose and applicable legal obligations. An enquiry may require a shorter period than a completed order, financial record or rights agreement.
Retention decisions take account of the service relationship, the distribution term, outstanding royalties, accounting and regulatory duties, fraud prevention, rights claims and dispute limitation periods. Closing an order or requesting content removal does not necessarily remove these obligations.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete it securely or irreversibly de-identify it. Backup copies may remain until replaced or removed through the backup cycle and must remain protected during that period.
09 Keeping information secure
We use access restrictions and technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission method or storage system is completely risk-free. Keep your secure upload link private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or a mistaken disclosure.
We will investigate security incidents and make legally required notifications where applicable.
10 Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You also have protections relating to decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.
Email info@callertune.store to exercise a right. Include enough detail to identify the relevant interaction or order. We may need proportionate identity verification, and will respond within the applicable legal time limit. If we cannot fulfil a request in full, we will explain the reason and available options.
You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.
11 Children and young artists
Purchases and distribution arrangements should be made by someone with legal capacity and the necessary authority. Where content involves a child, a parent, guardian or appropriately authorised representative should contact us before submitting the child's personal documents so that the required permissions and safeguards can be addressed. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been provided without appropriate authority.
12 Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this version. We will give additional notice of significant changes where appropriate and obtain consent where legally required.
